Christmas time is a happy time

This is the first holiday that Violet has experienced twice in her life. (does that make sense?) It is fun to look back at LAST christmas, and see how different it was. 

Actually... not a whole lot different. 

Last Christmas we spent the entire day looking at Violet, obsessing over her, smiling at her, laughing at her little baby faces....

THIS christmas was exactly the same.... 

except that we actually had presents under the tree, and my mom wasn't here to spoil us.

 a lot of these presents are birthday presents that started out as christmas presents

 yes, i gave my one year old markers.

at least i am teaching her early to ONLY draw on paper

 posing for mama... or pulling at her ear infection.

 telling me to be quiet... or about to pick her nose.

we got to spend some time in Prescott, AZ right before Christmas. it was FREEEEZING, but she got to see Santa where it actually felt like the north pole.

 and this is actually on Christmas Sunday. literally the best picture we got all day. oh well.
