eight

I don't even know where to begin with this past month. I am trying to count the days we were actually home... and I honestly think it was less than a week. I am impressed with myself that I am even getting to this post semi on-time.
love this face.

From the time Violet turned 7 months till now, she has been to Utah twice, yuma twice, and california once.

Our first round of Utah was for a little reunion with 3 of Tanner's best friends (and their wonderful wives) who he has known since highschool. We spent the weekend in Sundance enjoying each other's company, playing cards, and enjoying the cooler weather.

on the way home, we spent the night at my grandparent's cabin. This was their first time meeting little Violet. She LOVED her great grandma and grandpa!
I also got my wedding dress from my dad's house after 7 years!
Violet may need to get just a bit bigger for it to fit
After Utah,
We came home for about 12 hours to wash our clothes and sleep before we headed out to Yuma.
The reason we are spending so much time NOT at home is because Tanner just recently got accepted to ASU'S MBA program which starts at the end of August. WOOHOO TANNER!
Traveling to obscure locations within Arizona means better pay - and we're trying to save up as much as we can before school starts! Although I miss my home, and my friends -
We would rather be together.
This is pretty much how we spend our days in yuma...

After a week in Yuma, we came home to get ready for Violet and I to fly back to Utah
(which i already posted about).
My mom got Violet her very own Build-A-Bear.
She LOVES this bear.
they seem to even like to share clothes

When we got back from Utah, Violet and I got in the car and drove down to Yuma to be with Tanner. Our very first mommy/daughter road trip.
We listened to The Help on the way down, and I even let Violet pick where we stopped for lunch - Mcdonald's. (I actually timed it perfectly with her nap so she slept the whole way - minus the last 15 minutes of the trip that were spent screaming at the top of her lungs)
Honestly - I wish i had a video of the moment I took a screaming Violet out of the car and her seeing her daddy for the first time in over a week. She immediately started freaking out with squeals of delight. It was about the cutest thing I had ever seen.
To get out of the Yuma heat, the three of us decided to head out to San Diego for the day (it's only a 3 hour drive).
It was heavenly.
from 115 degree weather to highs of 71 degrees and sunny. If my math is correct that would be about a 40 degree difference.
It was such a beautiful perfect day.

Although our lives are going to be pretty crazy these next 2 years, I am so thankful for an incredible husband who works so hard at supporting his wife and daughter even through his schooling. He makes it possible for us to be together and for Violet and I to travel with him wherever he needs to go.

I think this next month is going to slow down drastically. No plans to travel outside of Arizona... but it IS my birthday month... so you never know! Disneyland? hint hint
