On July 20th, Violet turned 7 months. I know I am a bit behind, but this summer has been INSANE in the membrane.

 She was not really cooperating with the photo shoot today...

Here is what we did during Violet's 7th month of life...

 

We headed to Yuma... and checked out the peacocks

 

 i was told that Yuma is literally the hottest city in the world. This face is a perfect example of how we felt all week long

we got a little lost in the desert sand dunes 

We also headed out to the Yuma Prison. I guess we have a thing for prisons, because we have visited the coldest prison on earth, (below)

 

and now the hottest prison on earth.

A classmate of Tanner's from PT school lives in Yuma and has a beautiful boat. He took us out on the Colorado River one evening. 

These pics are from my phone, so they aren't the greatest quality

we could stand up in the middle of the river, and Violet of course loved the water.

We were home for just the weekend of the Fourth of July and got to spend some time with friends BBQing and swimming before we headed out to Sierra Vista

We spent the 4th of July in Sierra Vista. They have had TERRIBLE fires this summer, so unfortunately the fireworks were cancelled until further notice. 

 But that didn't stop us from dressing up in RED, WHITE, and BLUE!

 

We headed out to Bisbee later that day and walked around town

 

We went on our VERY FIRST DATE ALONE since Violet was born... yes, it took us 7 months! We went to.... can you guess it?? HARRY POTTER.  I have literally kept these glasses in my purse for a year waiting to wear them to the movie. I was so paranoid I would misplace them.

 

Our friends, the Sellers, watched Violet while we were away. This is what we came home to.

This month we also went to Oregon - pics in my earlier post, and celebrated Tanner's bday - also in an earlier post.

PHEW.
