Wow, I can't believe our little violet is 6 months! This past month has been a CRAZY one... and here is the proof...

At 5 months we started giving Violet rice cereal, and on her 6th month birthday we gave her carrots. mmmm... lucky her. It looked like we gave her straight lemon juice, and then she started gagging.

She does like the sweet potatoes and the squash though!

  We got some visitors again. My dad and Susan came down for the weekend to meet Violet. We had lots of fun in the 100 degree weather.

We went to the desert botanical gardens. This was literally the first time I had seen a cactus close up in the 6 years we have lived in AZ . 

OH, and it was also our 7 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! 

 We also took Violet swimming for the first time. Aren't babies so adorable in swim suits??

Tanner's workplace has been slow since the winter visitors have left for the summer, so they sent us down to Sierra Vista, AZ to work at a facility there for a week.

Tanner had to work during the day, so Violet and I headed out on our own to explore

We went to Tombstone

 and bought these for Violet:

Sierra Vista has a huge army base, so we checked out the veteran memorial cemetery:

 she was really excited about it...

We also went to the San Pedro Riparian Reserve

It seriously went from this:

And one evening we headed out to Bisbee, an old mining community full of old brick buildings and tons of antique shops.

After we got back from Sierra Vista, it was FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND! What a great day to celebrate Father's. This is how Violet celebrated her dad:
