okay, so as most of you know, my family and I are all getting ready to run a marathon on oct. 7th, in sacramento. we have our work cut out for us! we have all bought an amazing book to get us ready by the scheduled marathon, and by june 18th, we all have to be able to run for 30 minutes without stopping just to START the training schedule for the remaining weeks. Since Sam is staying with me in wonderful arizona, we have taken up the challenge to be ready! but, we also want to have some fun and help our endurance not just by running everyday, but by hiking, swimming, biking, anything that's active! It has been soo nice to have somebody to go along on the ride with. we give each other encouragement, and push each other harder, than if we were by ourselves. We started out the week by running in the blazing heat of arizona, and suprisingly made it without getting heat exhaustion! the second day, we decided to hike camelback moutain. Here is our hilarious attempt of hiking in 100 degree weather, and enjoying it! But WE MADE IT!

every time we made it to the top of a steep climb, we kept thinking it was going to be the top. ya right! It happened to us at least 8 times! haha! you would have thought we learned our lesson the first time. We totally jinxed ourselves. The day before sam leaves for california, we are going to hike it one last time, to see how much we have improved throughout the weeks of our daily workouts!

these pictures crack me up because sam, was already tan BEFORE coming to arizona. Little white pasty Alli, was pure white when sam came to arizona. This hike was the first time i had been out in the sun in a long time. so forgive my hilarious tan lines! and my pink legs!

Hey we went hiking too! But I think our hike had a lot more shade. I am so proud of you guys! You look great! And I love Sam's Wheaties hat.
