I mentioned in my last post that I got a sewing machine.... well... I attempted my very first sewing project. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know what a bobbin was, so even though this project isn't PERFECT, I have to say I am proud! And mom, I figured out the whole neckline/armhole dilemma! (i hope i just get better with that part though!)
The fabric is a really thin, soft corduroy, and I LOVED the print! I was going to make something small with it, but tanner thought it would be cute in a dress! what a smarty pants.
I wanted to put a little toy in the pocket to show it, but alas, I don't have a single toy in my house. How sad is that?
luckily I have a drawer full of random buttons from everything I have bought in the last 6 years, so I was excited to actually use one. This simple dress took me 2 days, where as I am SURE it could have taken someone 2 hours.
Oh, and our living room finally got some furniture, we are just needing some things on the walls! any ideas?
Last but not least, our little baby girl is finally kicking me and I can feel her move! yeah! she is very active in the morning when I wake up, and around dinner time. Tanner's hoping for a soccer player in there. And my body is getting larger by the day. I'm trying to give her some extra room in there to move around! I'm hungry every second of the day, and I can't wait till my next appointment to see how much weight I've gained this month! This will probably be the only time in my life when I am excited to gain weight.

I love that fabric! It is so funny because I have totally wanted ti make some little dresses lately but I don't have time! You need to look at my sister-in-laws blogs to see their cute dresses and super easy stuff they did to them recently! really go look!
So cute Ali...I bought myself a sewing machine almost 2 years ago...its still in the box. SEW NOW WHILE YOU HAVE TIME. LOL. So excited for you.
That is adorable! It's addicting so beware of all the sewing project blogs out there.
Very cute dress! I am so impressed. I am still so intimidated by my sewing machine; Rob is so much better at it than I am! And your living room looks great! I'm so glad you can feel her kick now. Isn't it so weird? I'm starting to get to the point where I don't even notice her moving around in there now, unless it's like a huge movement.
That dress is to die for!! Your skills are awesome!! And great idea Tanner.
ooooo and for your fabulous living room...
I would find random frames in various sizes in black and the dark chocolate (to match your coffie table and side tables.. but not be too matchy) and hang them in sweet interesting groupings on the walls of your choice...
I can't wait to decorate a house.
