MARATHON MANIA!

Well, I ran my long awaited marathon!!!!! It was an incredible weekend. it felt like FOREVER, but then by the time it was over, everything seemed to have gone too fast. Pretty much my WHOLE family flew in to see Becky and I run our 26.2 miles, and let me say, most of the weekend was FULL of suprises. First, Becky's husband Ryan drove all the way down from sacramento with all 4 kids to suprise Becky. It was a blast! I got to see Jeff and Melissa and their adorable baby for the first time along with Caitlin. When i went to pick up my mom at the airport, my other sister jessica suprised us all too. It was amazing having everyone here. I wish we could have had sam, and dustin and the kids as well... but hopefully at the next marathon... hehe.

Anyways, the marathon was HILARIOUS. The morning started off to a rough start. I had forgotten my bib number and the chip you put in your shoe to calculate the official time for the race. Tanner ended up being my hero, and bringing it to me at around 6:00 in the morning from mesa all the way to downtown phoenix (just don't bring it up... a touchy subject) Let's just say traffic and one way streets can lead to frustration and tears.Tanner was my hero. By the time we got to the start of the race... we had missed it by about 30 minutes. But part of the problem was that we couldn't FIND the start!!! I was never good at direction. We actually did great however, and even caught up to a ton of people and didn't even stop running until around mile 12. We had such a great time running together. I am so glad we got to do it together. It really meant a lot to me to be able to share this experience with my sister. and to have my family there supporting us. it was incredible.

The best was seeing my family at the mile 20, mile 22, mile 23, cheering us on. It really did help us push through those last few miles. We were really feeling the pain in the exact same spots as eachother... which was weird.

When we finished we held hands and were soooo happy to be finally crossing the finish line. That is where the eating began and hasn't stopped... haha. from starting the training FOREVER AGO, till now, I am so glad i got to share all this whole weekend with my family, my nieces, my new little nephews, everyone. I loved every moment of it.

Also, Ali Bolen is coming into town this weekend... we would LOVE to run into you since I never can seem to do just find you around these parts...

ALI! You're amazing. I especially love your Nike + application and how it calculates everything. You have motivated me to work out more.

I was going to email you last week b/c I have this new teacher at school that reminds me so much of you! She's really cute like you and crazy in front of everyone. Her mannerisms remind me of you all the time, and of your off-the-wall devotionals in seminary. :-)
